Two week done and now where are we going?

To have a sucessful classroom.

How do we ensure this goal is reached and what can we do in the classroom in the meantime as we reach these goals.

Needs: The previous teacher's decorating job has to be demolished and a new one put in its place.

In our classroom

The Classroom

As students enter their classroom, they should be comfortable with their surroundings, and familiar with everything in the classroom. As the school year progresses they will be come familiar with all of the assignments they will accomplish through the year. Their classroom furniture will be placed in such a fashion as is fit to encourage the learning process on both a group level and an individual level. Areas in the room will be designated for certain types of work, giving students the level of privacy they need to accomplish their assignments. The room should be made as comfortable as possible to maximize the learning process.

The Material

Works available to the student will be arranged in shelves around the room. There will be multiple copies of each work available so as to allow more than one student to work on the same book. Every student will also maintain journals to track various skills within the classroom. These journals may include: grammar, vocabulary, lecture notes, literary analysis. Drama shall play a key roll in the classroom. Performance will be available as work. Work will be available in its original language and its modern translated language for works such as Chaucer and older and also work written in a language other than English. Shakespeare and his contemporaries will be available in their original language only. Histories, documents, letters, and reflections shall also be made available to students.

Manipulative material that is relevant to the reading available shall also be made available. These may include plants discussed in a work, or artifacts from the culture to help students better understand the author's meaning. Also relevant technology will be maintained in the classroom so as to promote learning.

The Students

As students enter their classroom, they will be familiar with the room and understand how their work is to be done. They will be given the liberty to choose which assignment to complete. They will track their progress in their various journals and will also have some of their work reviewed by their peers. They will have access to both pens and pencils and relevant technology necessary to complete their assignments. They will become familiar with the literature available in the room. Through their journals, and in class discussion they will prove to the teacher they are prepared for more challenging work. As writers they will assume everything they write will be published, and in the classroom the resources necessary to do this will be there for them. They will be given the choice to enter new vocabulary into the classroom lexicon. They shall write “multiple choice” tests for the works they read and quiz their peers who have read the same work. They shall also be encouraged to apply for things such as permits for extracurricular activities, or small business licenses. They will be able to communicate classically as well as with the aid of technology. They will gain an understanding of all the languages they hear, and work on being comfortable using them.

Students enter the classroom prepared to learn and leave ready to teach. Every student should be able to perform well on what ever hurdle may be placed between their education and its funding.

The Teacher

The teacher enters the classroom having read every work in the classroom. The teacher has an understanding of the zeitgeist of all the work available, and is able to demonstrate this without hesitation. He will also review student work on a regular schedule, and leave ongoing encouragement and advise. A clear understanding of the rules of logic, often called booleen algebra, and its many equations shall be understood and available for instruction. A clear understanding of school district policies is necessary, as well as the ability to use these policies to maximise learning in the class. It is the teachers responsibility to review new technology, and maintain the current equipment used.

Before entering the classroom the teacher has reviewed the history of every student in his class. A well prepared teacher is well. . . prepared*

*Being well prepared:

• Understand the children as they enter the room

• Maintain relevant contacts at various government agencies.

• Maintain current education relevant to licencure.

• Keep literary journal subscriptions current.

• Review student work

• Maintain contacts in various theatre companies

• Maintain contacts in various publishing agencies

• Allow and encourage fund raising to help further the class

Flying Cars and navigation

having a flying car will be so cool. I know, I know that will never happen bla bla. The reason why it will never happen? Because the nice people in washington, or harrisburgh, or even york road, would never find a way to write the rules of how we navigate. But seriously. . . in the begining there would be only one car flying in the sky and there would not be such a challenge to navigate. But as more car enter the space, collisions would be inevietable. I just hope the folks at google are the ones writing the code rules. In fact. . .we should hire google to write code for all of societies algorithims. And when I say google I dont mean Google, the search engine.

However, excusing digressions would be a good hobby to pick up if you wish to continue reading. So to return to digression number one. . . a google is a rather large number, I think it is a one with 45 zeros.and although thats now how many people there are, it has been estimated to be the total amount of atoms that make up all of humanity. What is amazing is the list of atoms are in constant flux, due to flatuence and pizza mostly.

And to suggest that a really big number could fix societys woes is sometimes a tough argument to make, I know. Just ask Al Gore, never has an American's Kamph been turned into everyone's struggle. However we googliarians believe that the more exotic truth about being googliarian is the interactions of the subatomic particles and the sub-sub atomic particles.

There is a measurement called a plank length. Not the stuff at Gephart's Lumber, but instead a very short measurement. This measurement is the shortest possible measurement to be measured. The reason having something to do with no being able to put any more little lines on the ruler.

And smaller than that is the "length" of what some are calling strings, or super strings. Or as I like to call it the theory of double dutch. Imaging this. . . a group of girls in a playground playing double dutch. . . but first. Your hair is one half of a millimeter thick an atom is much smaller than that. Now if a Hydrogen atom was the size of a football stadium then the protron would be the football, and the electron would be one eyelash of someone in the 700 level. Now lets look in the electron. If the electron was the size of New York City then one of the little bastards that make up electrons, I think it might be muons, or is this where quarks come in. . . never mind. The sub-atomic particles on this level would be varied in size ranging from about the size of city blocks to the size of the little toe of a newborn millipede. Now. . . if one of these subatomic particles were the size of the entire orbit of earth, then a superstring would be found in Central Park, or Plotzdam, or Tralfager for that matter. A string would be the size of a jumping rope.

Lets examine this jumping rope. Under control of skilled operators a set of double dutch ropes can travel at high velocity in rather perfect harmony with the jumper. But thats nonesense you say. How can three kids and a string make up an entire universe. Your right they can't. However lets imagine our entire universe to be set on a flat plane. Its not to hard to do, a few hundred years ago it was dogma. But beyond that. . . lets lets now imagine our enitre universe is a two dimensional flat plane that happens to be about five feet above grade through central park where our friends have been jumping rope for all time (ok, not fair to refer to time down here, but whatever). This flat plane extends well past Caldwell and The Oranges. Suffice to say, we dont have any access to the level of the girls in the park. Our three dimensional exsistence has been flattened to two, so that the double dutchers are living in a multi-dimensional space, it may be foolish to try to explain it any more. Our universe is breathed into exsistence when the jump rope passes through the space of our flat plane. If we could zoom in we would see something pop into exsistence as the leading edge of the string entered

Where we are. . . .now

Revolutionaries! Prepare for peace!  Prepare to lay down your swords, and accept the theift of your beliefs you hold so dear.  No matter what side of which issue we discuss, lay down your anger, and stand tall.  There are a few things which are going to happen, that cannot be stopped.  It is our responsibilities we must remember.  

Hopes for a better future

In the event that my worst fears come to pass, and the planet isn't actually desrtoyed from an asteroid or other such distaster, then I would like to think these words may be read and also help you set up a better plan for the establishment of your life.  There seems to be significant change to the structure of our society and our forms of governance.  What role, if any, does religion play which is actually separate from the rules of and styles within the various government systems.  Are there men and women who, either through theocracy or democracy, are not legally allowed to believe in their heart, that which they believe in their hearts?

HVAC Controls

If you are building a new house it is rather important to install a smart system, or systems.  However one should be careful, not to just buy a security system and an intercom, but a totally new structure which can be described in a few paragraphs.  There are three simple steps that are easy to remember and will be my pleasure to deliver.  The first is prep and design.  The second is construction.  The third is software installation.

(s1) Modern power concepts allow us to control with the aid of computers, all of the systems of our homes.  These systems can make your life more convient by putting information at your fingertips, they can make your house more efficent by controlling your homes most expensive appliances, and they can make your lives safer by alerting emerengcy services when they are needed.  Although the big clunky desktops may be a thing of the past, the computer is here to stay, thats why all of our systems installed can be eaislied controlled from your computer, phone, wii, or what ever comes next.  

Many homeowners are so high from the concept of finally affording that new house they often misunderstand how to get more value from their newly acquired asset.
